Its elected parliamentarians can introduce proposals, deliberate on any parliamentary matter and exercise the parliament’s oversight functions, particularly over executive government. They do not independently decide how to cast votes on behalf of others: they carry the corresponding result from AGORA into the formal parliamentary vote, as permitted by law.

Who may vote in AGORA on those parliamentary questions? Any Earth Citizen who is eligible to vote in the relevant nation-state. Membership in the UE Party is not required, and the participant need not support United Earth or a particular constitutional reform. The parliamentarians themselves vote personally through AGORA on the same eligibility rules as others, with any generally applicable knowledge weighting.

The party’s obligation is procedural, not ideological: it must transmit valid AGORA decisions, regardless of their political outcome. It has no separate organisational mandate to impose bloc formation, sovereignty transfer or other substantive results on the electorate.

Each UE Party is a separate legal organisation and accedes to the United Earth Pact. Deviations between valid AGORA decisions and parliamentary votes must be acknowledged, documented and corrected. Three documented parliamentary voting incidents establish inability to fulfil the party’s adapter mandate. Failure to respond adequately to three written notices, each with a one-month deadline, is a separate ground for exclusion. Decisions are subject to independent review, and the Foundation facilitates a replacement party. Exclusion does not affect the individual Earth Citizenship or voting rights of the party’s members.

UE Parties become unnecessary wherever direct democratic voting is constitutionally established.

Explore the parliamentary adapter model in HOW 24.3

Get involved at PARTIES.united.earth

Initiative | Organisation | Development | Operations | Website United Earth Foundation | United Earth Councils | United Earth Parties | United Earth Pact | Organisation culture United Earth Parties United Earth Parties (UE Parties) have one institutional purpose: to serve as temporary adapters between direct democracy in AGORA and existing parliamentary systems.
