Organisation culture
United Earth’s organisation is designed to facilitate the development of democratic authority, not claim it for itself. The organisation must therefore practise the standards needed to make its own growing power accountable.
Facilitation and responsibility. Founding work, professional roles and voluntary contributions are valuable because of what they enable, not because they create personal authority or an entitlement to later office.
Independent judgement. Knowledge, evidence, ethical reasoning and publicly examinable arguments guide decisions. Criticism, disagreement and correction are integral to the work.
Identity-independent cooperation. National, cultural, religious and ideological identities are welcome; none confers precedence or institutional authority within United Earth’s shared political space.
Fair contribution. Qualified professional work may be fairly compensated; volunteers are supported and respected. Roles have published responsibilities, conflicts of interest are managed, and financial and institutional decisions are transparent.
Different responsibilities, different obligations. Ordinary Earth Citizens are not required to endorse United Earth’s political proposals. Moderators, Council members, administrators, party representatives and other functionaries undertake role-specific obligations, including impartial administration, proper records, accountability and independent review. Volunteer moderators require training, proportionate tools and oversight; restrictions on deliberation do not by themselves revoke an eligible citizen’s vote.
Succession. The purpose of the founding organisation is to develop institutions that can be democratically governed without dependence on those who initially built them.
